PC INSTALLATION

Preparation
Before assembling the PC there are some things that need to be prepared for
do the assembly with the efficient and effective, namely:

  • Documentation PCs or components (including the information admonitions).
  • containers to put the nut during installation.
  • appropriate screwdriver.
  • Paper and pen to take notes or draw diagrams or information from another PC as a comparison in the PC assembly.
  • enough space to work (with good lighting).
  • antistatic elbow protector (if any).
  • Make sure the power is not connected to a power source.
Once these things above have been prepared, then we can begin assembling
by considering:

  • Is the PC still warranty. If so, think back to open the PC. Because if the sign would be opened to disable warranty warranty applicable.
  • Find a place large enough, clean place with good lighting.
  • Ensure that existing equipment can be used, including container for myrrh, equipment and other small objects.
  • Turn off the PC and everything associated with it.
  • Move the monitor aside.
  • Open the nut and cover.
Describe the composition of the components before dismantling anything in your PC
such as:

  • Type and laying of various cables.
  • The location and status of the DIP switches and jumpers.
  • The connection on the motherboard, including the power supply, speakers and keyboard.
Begin to open your new component of its box:
  • Remove the mainboard, put on a clean and safe.
  • Remove the nut and the drive including the cord, put in place clean and safe.
  • Remove the power supply.
  • Remove the CPU / Processor from socketnya.
  • Remove the motherboard if needed and place it on the antistatic field soft.
  • See return components that have been opened.
Choosing Equipment
  • screwdriver (screwdriver)
There are different types of screwdriver that can be used in assembling computers, among others: Straight slot
Straight screwdriver slot is composed of an iron (metal) which flat tip screwdriver or commonly referred to as (-).

Philips
Is a screwdriver that has four parts which taper at the edges or commonly referred to as a screwdriver (+).
Torx
Is a screwdriver that has 6 sides, forming stars at edges. Screwdriver of this type generally has 15 sizes. For PC used the size of T-10 and T-15. Usually used on the PC Branded.

  • antistatic Wrist Strap (elbow binder)
          Remember that:
    • Static electricity can destroy chips.
    • Humans produce electricity all the time.
    • To feel the static electricity is required at least more than 2000 volts, but you can destroy the chip only with 35 volt only.
Very likely when you bet or raise board or chip, chip or board unnoticed have been damaged. To address the problem antistatic protective elbow is used. In general form elastic fiber material in accordance with the elbow and connected with ground. Some antistatic associated with using socket wall and the other has a crocodile clip which is connected with metal that has no paint on the PC.

Tip! If you do not have this tool, you can still avoid static electric body by holding the casing with your hand Direct + 8 seconds before assembling the components.
  • Retrieving Tools
It is a tool that resembles a syringe where the tip The only form of buttons or a vacuum and some clips curved at the other end (shaped like a claw). In generally used to take small parts that are difficult achieved.
  • Tang and Diagonal Cutter
Tang used in assembling a PC is a tip pliers long flat. Diagonal cutter pliers is often referred to as cutting used to cut the cable or chip.
  • Chip extractors (PLCC and PGA)
There are various types of IC (chip). One of them is known as Plastic Leadless Chip Carrier (PLCC) and the other is known as Pin Grid Array (PGA). For PLCC chip is very difficult to open without damage except use the right equipment. Now, most of the PGA socket (such as the Pentium processor) uses a zero insertion force socket (ZIP) and to open it is not required special equipment.
Things that need to be considered in assembling / disassemble your PC
1. Verify whether or not disassemble the PC.
2. Make sure you have adequate space.
3. Allow space for small appliances.
4. Back up configuration.
5. Unplug the power cord is connected to the PC.
6. Separate the monitor from the PC casing, put the casing in addition to PCs.
Diagram
Make sure you provide the paper and pen to record the device is assembled / disassembled. Why is that? When you unplug something, maybe not easy installation again unless you have a good diagram. If there is no clear signal on the cable, you can mark it with a marker (marker). Machines on the PC is not like books in a library, no matter if the signal on the PC. Remember that the original plan was to restore a PC or allow such
original state. You may not be able to fix it but of course do not want the situation worse than the original. Noteworthy including :
Data Cables
Data cable or also called the Ribbon Cables are thin kebel connected with the pin located on the circuit board (mainboard). For the installation has its own rules. In this cable data there are strip on one side (usually red). But some manufacturers use a piece of sloping strip along one one side of the cable data, so look carefully if you do not see the strip on data cable. While you create a diagram of the cable and cable laying, do not forget create a diagram of cable is not attached. This is intended to avoid installation error occurs on the circuit board. Because it is not maybe when you see the pins are not installed on board circuit, then you start asking, "Hmmm ... this connector installed where are you? ". or" What cable is installed there huh? "and you begin creative, try to plug the plug in place here or there, and usually produces a bad thing (the installation of the connector / jumpers are wrong can result in burning device).
Board and Cable Laying
In general, people ask, "Is it important to choose the slot that will used on the mainboard? ". It depends, in general, when you pull out a board of slots then you also have to include it in the same slot. Actually, there are several types of slots that are used on the motherboard. For example, one type of slot on the motherboard called ISA slot called PCI slots and others who have a different connector. If you enter the board on a different slot then the PC will provide many error messages or many files that fail to run on your curre turn on the PC again. Some boards require the laying on its original slot for reasons electrically. You may not get a route to and from the board unless you
put it in the appropriate slot.
Jumper and DIP Switch
Note the placement of jumpers or DIP switches to maintain if you are not deliberately changing jumpers or DIP switches so that it can shift the restore its placement.

Errors that often arise in assembling PCs
  • Some of the mistakes that often occur in the assembly of PCs, among others:
  • Laying a bad motherboard.
  • Installation of the wrong data cable.
  • Handling the wrong board.
  • Forgot attach the power cable.
  • Setting a bad cable.
  • Forgot reattach cables Speaker, keylock and battery.
  • Panic at the time not to turn the PC back.
